By-Laws Committee SOPs
The By-Laws of the FMS-BIG Chapter must conform to the Regional By-Laws and the National Constitution. This committee reviews the Chapter by-laws twice a year, or whenever a situation arises that requires immediate attention in the interest of the Chapter.
. Recommend amendments as needed to the Executive Committee
. Review the Regional by-laws and the National Constitution for
conformity and prepare amendments to the membership
. Submit all coordinated amendments to the membership in writing,
or via email, at least 30 calendar days prior to consideration
. After the 30 calendar days, all amendments are discussed in an
open forum during the next Chapter meeting
. Once approved by the membership, submit the amended by-laws to
the National By-Laws Committee for approval
